Trade Labor Shortage in the US
Published February 27th, 2017

Is there a  trade labor  shortage in the US currently?  Forbes.com  says yes. Since 2010, trade laborers have seen a steep decline in areas such as construction, electric, and plumbing. If you are interested in starting your own skilled labor business, this could be good news for your, especially if you are under the age of 45. Let's take a look at why that is.

Market Demand

With the steep decline of trade laborers in the United States, there is more demand than ever for young, ambitious people to step up and fulfill a need. There is a demand in the market for people with your interests to provide skilled services and the Arizona Contractor License Center can help you accomplish that dream.

Opportunities for Youth

We hinted earlier at how this shortage could be good for younger people. An article on  Forbes.com  stated this,

In 2012, 53 percent of skilled-trade workers in the U.S. were 45 years and older, according to EMSI, and 18.6 percent were between the ages of 55 and 64.

These numbers show that less and less young people are showing an interest in trade labor jobs which tells us that there is certainly a place for you.    If starting your own business as a trade laborer is interesting to you, Arizona Contractor Licensing Center is the place for you. We are more than just a trade school. We give you the tools you need to succeed as a business owner. If this sounds interesting to you or if you have any other questions,  contact us  today!
