When you are a general contractor you need to learn how to deal with the creeps. This doesn’t mean difficult clients or sub-contractors who upset people onsite. The creeps are the delays and extra work that come up when completing a project that waste time and money. Below you will find ways to recognize creeps when you see them and how to deal with them. extra cost. Anything not on that list may need to be a separate project with a separate bid.
Not all people are looking to get extra work for free. So, when dealing with creeps, make sure you do sure with professionalism and tact. Don’t say no, but explain the time and budget constraints and show them how creating a separate project will be beneficial to the homeowner. This way you can deal with the creeps without being considered a creep by your customers.
