If you're into Photovoltaic Technology, you probably understand a thing or two about solar power.

GTM Research has documented a boom in project starts, and according to the company’s Utility PV Market Tracker service there is currently 10.1 gigawatts of utility-scale solar powered projects under construction nationwide. In the top 10 markets, 8.1 gigawatts of solar has come online just this year alone.

Not surprising to anyone is that Utah is among those top markets. A few years ago, Utah's solar industry was almost non-existent. Today, Utah leads the nation along with the states of California, Texas, Nevada, and Arizona. In Utah, projects are being driven by PURPA, a 1978 law which mandates that utilities must buy electricity from independent power producers if they can match the price that the utility would otherwise pay for generation.

All that is to say, between solar power becoming more accessible and more affordable, and customers wanting more energy-efficient homes, now is a great time to offer such features to your clients.
