The U.S. Department of Labor released its job growth report last week, and the news is good for Utah. The Beehive State topped the nation in job growth from August 2014 to the same month of this year. 

Utah's four percent growth rate topped the nation and represented the largest gain of any state by .7 percent.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune, the state unemployment report comes a day after the Federal Reserve decided against raising short-term interest rates, citing threats to the U.S. economy from weak growth in China and the persistence of very low inflation.

29 states also reported job growth, while 11 states remained the same.
